Tearfund Cycling is an initiative by a small group of Tearfund supporters. We aim to bring you some of the best and most enjoyable cycling experiences and at the same time raise awareness, and funds for, the work of
Tearfund bringing hope and a future to some of the world's poorest communities.
So far we have 3 evnts planned for 2012:-
1)
The Drumlanrig Tearfund Challenge. May 5th This established cyclo sportive event in Dumfries and Galloway has been oversubscribed in recent years, full details on the event website

The Deeside Pedal, August 25th,. From the outskirts of Aberdeen this new sportive event will offer the choice of a hilly 87 miles or a more gentle 43 milechallenge around the Aberdeenshire countryside. Details to follow soon
3)
Fort William, September 22nd. A stunning 100 mile non timed challenge ride through the the spectacular west highland scenery. The ride will be fully supported with signing, feeds and support vehicles to help you on your way.

We are starting to put together plans for a week long, fully supported tour of Scotland for 2013. Dates and full details are yet to be decided,watch this space. Places will be limited, so if you relish riding an average of 90 miles for each of the 7 days and can commit to raising £500 over and above your entry fee (the base entry fee will be to cover the costs of the tour, which we aim to keep to a minimum by using the hospitality of churches for many of the meals and some of the accommodation) you may like to register your possible interest here
